Pastor Philip Johnston

Pastor Johnston became the Pastor of Tabernacle Baptist Church in November of 2019. He came to know the Lord as his Savior at the age of eleven and was called to preach the Gospel in January 2011. 

Pastor Johnston graduated with a Bachelor of Theology degree in 2019 from Calvary Baptist Bible College in King, NC, and a Masters of Ministry degree in 2022 from The Crown College of the Bible in Powell, TN.

Prior to coming to Tabernacle Baptist Church, he served as the Youth Pastor of Open Door Baptist Church in Christiansburg, VA, for seven years. 

He and his wife Kirstin were married in the summer of 2010 and have three children, Austin, Natalie and Eli.
